This company citizenship in the community and the areas they serve allows the cable companies and cable industry to invest large amounts of capital and support in various ways. Some cable companies to make plans for their employees volunteer to participate in; some equipment revenue contribution or disaster areas, such as schools and libraries. Cable companies are also measuring the military or educational activities and local support non-profit organizations.

Industry analysts agree that the cable industry as a whole has managed to contribute more than one billion dollars in charitable and community efforts.
Cable in the Classroom program aims to encourage the use of cable technology and content to expand and enhance learning for children and young people. Achieving this goal by giving them free cable and broadband connections and school libraries throughout the United States, by providing access to more than 500 hours of educational cable programming, through the creation and dissemination of educational material resources such as newspapers, magazines and e-content. They are also trying to grow national leadership in the education sector to host meetings, awards celebrate excellence through the media and provides tools and information for educators.
Cable Positive was founded in 1992 by three cable television industry executives who want to encourage the use of many talents, resources and affect the cable telecommunications sector and increasing awareness about HIV / AIDS. Group seeks to support education, prevention and treatment and the end eternal stigma attached to those whose lives have been affected by HIV or AIDS. They want to achieve their goals through a variety of national programs, events and awards.
Hope Fund cable created to bring in the Aftermath of Hurricanes in 2005. Cable sector after a fund established to assist in the effort to build many homes and helped many families and individuals. Dana cable companies and motivated employees contribute to the effort other organizations, including Habitat for Humanity and Oxfam America. Day continued their efforts and group work to help all victims of natural disasters and assist in long-term effort to rebuild communities.
Cable sector also participated in hundreds of public affairs programs in the state and local communities in its use.
Cable industry clearly understand that strong communities and healthy is important to enhance financial stability and customer base. They make clear that they are willing to take responsibility and corporate citizenship focus of the company, invest in the sector of social capital and regional economic improvement, the region and the communities they serve.
